Exotic and Dangerous

This Indo-Pacific reef fish, the Lionfish is now invasive to the Western Atlantic. While desirable to divers and as an aquarium fish, it is also a carnivorous predator, venomous, and dangerous to humans. I try not to capture wildlife in captivity, however I'm not a diver and do not have good underwater camera equipment. Hence, I captured this at the Mote Aquarium in Sarasota.
