This beautiful view of the Athabasca River and the Canadian Rockies was captured as it continues on just below the Athabasca Falls. It is Alberta's longest river, originating at the Columbia Icefield and eventually flowing into Lake Athabasca in northern Alberta. The river's glacial origin and sources impart its magnificent milky blue water.
